  • This is my second year teaching at Liberty Christian School.
  • I obtained my B.A. in English Education and my Single Subject Teaching Credential from California State University of Long Beach.
  • I have finished my coursework toward an M.A. in English from CSULB.
  • My interests in grad school centered mainly around literature and thought during the English Renaissance.

  • My first job was as a hostess at Marie Callenders. (favorite pie= Lemon Cream Cheese)
  • I worked as a Medical Records Clerk at HealthCare Partners Medical Group for 6 years while I worked on my B.A. and Credential
  • I worked as a substitute teacher in Long Beach Unified School District for 4 years as I worked my way through graduate school.
  • I volunteered with my church youth group as a discipleship leader for 8 years
  • I enjoy playing soccer, piano, swimming, painting, reading, hiking, cooking, and just sitting in the sunshine with a good cup of coffee while watching the flowers grow.

  • I met my husband in 2007 at a bible study (he was teaching a series in Genesis, and so the journey began . . .).
  • I have one older brother and two younger sisters.

  • Favorite childhood memory: spending the summer with my grandma and great grandma in the woods of Tennessee.
  • Favorite teenage memory: spending my summers at the beach with friends
  • Favorite new memory: hiking the South Rim and canyoneering in Zion National Park.

  • Favorite thing to eat while studying: home grown tomatos sliced on a toasted onion bagel with cream cheese, fresh basil, chopped red onions, kosher salt and freshly gound pepper!
  • Favorite movie of the year: ? yet to be determined
  • Favorite type of reading: poetry, drama, philosophy/theology, children's books, news
  • Favorite TV shows (and no, we still do not have one): Dirty Jobs, Dual Survival
