This is my third year teaching here at Liberty.  With the exception of 2 1/2 years in Clovis, I have lived in So Cal my entire life.  I currently live in Long Beach with my wife Emily who is also a teacher here at LCS /files/High School/Hadley/pictures/lowermemory.JPG(pictured on the left).  Before coming to work at Liberty as a teacher I worked for a couple of years as an archaeologist.  My primary job was the excavation and processing of prehistoric human burials.  The picture on the right was actually taken in /files/High School/Hadley/pictures/img_0884_Resized_150x200.jpgPoland where I did some fieldwork in mortuary archaeology as a student.  I worked my way through graduate school as an Emergency Medical Technician where I worked the night shift responding to 911 calls in L.A. County.

/files/High School/Hadley/pictures/25_Resized_300x203.jpg My interests are grouped into two camps.  The first camp basically includes anything to do with the outdoors so long as that activity doesn't include anything with a motor (for example I enjoy kayaking but I do not enjoy power crafts).  The picture at left was taken of me on 18,500' Mt Orizaba which is a dormant volcano in Mexico where I did a little mountaineering over Christmas Break one year in college.  More recently, my wife and I spent a good portion of this past summer hiking, backpacking, and climbing throughout southwest Utah, Arizona, and the Sierra's.  The picture at the bottom of this page was taken this summer in a canyon that we hiked through in Utah.

My other area of interest includes participating in the never ending dialogue going on be-tween science and theology.  One of the most interesting, and most important questions I believe one could ask is, "What role should science play in the interpretation of scripture?"  After 2 1/2 years of studying that question in graduate school I still don't believe that I have found a sufficient answer, but I am working on one.
